The Short-Term Joint Staff Training Event of Net Media Lab’s European Erasmus+ project ROBOTICS4DEAF: Robotics through Sign Language: Ensuring Access & Engagement of Students with Disabilities (Deaf or With Hearing Impairment) to the World of Coding & Robotics, was held online on 6-8 July 2021.
People with deafness and/or hearing impairment from Cyprus, Greece, Poland, Italy, Latvia and Slovakia participated in the training about educational robotics. Despite the fact that the event was held online there were no difficulties thanks to the sign language interpreters.
The participants were trained by Mr Nicholas Moudouros, Emphasys Centre (Cyprus) and Mr Chrysovalantis Kefalis, NML & Mind Lab on the educational material created for the project. Mrs. Anda Abuže from Rezekne Academy of Technologies (Latvia) presented the platform designed to host the educational material of the project.
