The eHealth Unit & Kanowledge Management group of the Computational Intelligence Laboratory at NCSR Demokritos a partner in the SCIBIOEU project, participates in the BiomeD-AI Summer School: Biomedicine & Bioethics supporting responsible Innovation in the era of Big Data & AI, taking place between 12-16 June on the premises of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) in Athens, Greece.
A unique educational experience, under the auspices of the Academy of Athens, organised by the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens (BRFAA), in cooperation with the Archimedes unit of the ATHENA RC, the Center of Research Bioethics of Uppsala University in Sweden (CRB), the International Chair of Bioethics (ICB) and the BBMRI-ERIC.
The Summer School’s goal is to connect Biomedical Research and Healthcare with Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) & Big Data in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution. An innovative event where researchers, healthcare practitioners & AI experts, from the US and Europe, will gather and exchange their work and knowledge through building a strong international multidisciplinary network of qualified scientists in the field.
Moreover, participants will have the chance to take part in a multidisciplinary event and get a hands-on experience, through a combination of lectures with practical workshops on virtual and extended reality and different applications of AI.
