WiCom Lab, Materials Science Sector (Institute for Advanced Materials, Physicochemical Processes, Nanotechnology & Microsystems), National Technical University of Athens and Loughborough University, presented a joint research work in the 9th Loughborough Antennas & Propagation Conference (LAPC 2013), held on 11-12 November 2013 in Loughborough, UK. The paper was entitled “Experimental Verification of a Dual Band CP Patch Antenna Using a Biased YIG Compound” and the work has been supported by the “MAGELLAN” research project, funded by “THALIS” Research Programme of Greek Ministry of Education, Lifelong Learning and Religious Affairs in the framework of NSRF 2007-2013.
Two more papers were presented in the same conference as a result of joint research work between WiCom Lab and Loughborough University Electronic and Electrical Engineering Department. The papers were entitled “Modelling of Dynamic On-Body Waist-Foot Channel at 2.45 GHz” and “Evaluation of a Human Body Phantom for Wearable Antenna Measurements at the 5.8GHz Band”. Both works have been funded under the auspices of Loughborough University and the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos” in the frame of the bilateral PhD agreement.
